Tara has performed for many of Toronto and Vancouver's finest theatres: CanStage, Vancouver Playhouse, Young People’s Theatre, Theatre Passe-Muraille, Equity Showcase, Bluewater Playhouse, Buddies In Bad Times, Stage West, Toronto Fringe, The Poor Alex, also the San Francisco Fringe, and in several radio plays for the CBC. October 2005, she played 'Emily' to much acclaim in Schnitzler's play "The Affairs Of Anatol", directed by Dora-nominated Sue Miner. From 2002-2005 Tara played Tara Williams in the t.v.series "Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye" and for the 2006 Canadian Filmmakers' Festival Tara played the lead in director Tom Feiler's Festival Trailer.
As writer, Tara studied under Ad Tobin at the NYC Writer's Boot Camp, 2003. There she completed her first feature length screenplay. Other writing credits include her short video “Brooklyn Love” (2002), "The Test"(2005) for Factory Theatre's LabCab, and her play “For Hire”, directed by Genie Award winner Kate Lynch, for the 2000 Tarragon Spring Arts Fair. Her stand-up material has taken her to the New York Comedy Club and the Gershwin Hotel in Manhattan. Her video collaborations have screened in Toronto; at the Kingston, Ontario Light Plays Tricks Festival; and at the Pioneer Theatre in the East Village, NYC.
January 2006 marks the completion of Tara's debut short film, FIND, produced by Busterhouse Productions. Tara wrote and directed it, and it features herself along with many of Canada's finest actors including Aviva Armour-Ostroff, Alec McClure, Greg Thomas, Jayne Eastwood, Kyra Harper, and RH Thomson.
In 2002 Tara founded Busterhouse Productions Inc. with NYC musician Matt Flugger.
